Q: can i put 2 12 inch subwoofers in a subaru impreza outback sport?
i was wondering where the best place to put (if possible) 2 12″ subwoofers in my 09 subaru impreza outback sport. also what kind of subwoofers work the best for this car?
A: you could fit way bigger than just two 12s, that’s not that small of a car. you’ll be fine getting those size.
Q: How is the Subaru Impreza in snow?
Right now I have a 2005 Toyota Echo but I do not think that it is a good car to have in the winter. I live in Calgary and have to drive to Okotoks everyday. Would it be worth paying extra money to get a Subaru Impreza?
A: Very very good in the snow, I have used an Impreza as a company vehicle for seven years now driving all over the North East of Scotland in all weather and many rough tracks and it has amazed me many a time going places where a poorly driven large 4×4 struggled.
As long as you are committed and confident the car can handle it
Q: Where can I find an Automatic Subaru Impreza WRX STI?
I’ve been looking all over for an automatic 2004-2005 Subaru Impreza WRX STI or just WRX. I know they have them out there, I just can’t find any dealers or even on craigslist of people selling them. Does anybody know any good websites for car searching or any certain dealers that would have them?? Thanks to anyone who answers, and I will give best answer if I get a good one.
A: There is no WRX STi, they are all 6 speeds.
WRX’s were automatic for a while.
Check on NASIOC for members selling theirs.
Check various Subaru dealers to see what is in stock.
Q: Looking for a car like a Subaru Impreza WRX?
Looking for a car, I snowboard so I’d like the car to be a hatchback and all wheel drive. Looking for something to compare to a Subaru Impreza WRX.
Audi is a luxury car brand, which would make repairs more costly wouldn’t it?
And I’m looking for something to compare to a WRX, so just saying WRX doesnt really help.
A: Buy an audi. they are cheaper, just as quick and far more reliable.
Q: Where to buy subaru impreza rear struts?
I have a 2005 subaru impreza 2.5 sti and am trying to source a pair of new rear standard struts. I dont want to go for a coil over kit as want to keep car standard. Subaru want two arms and a leg for them. Any help would be appreciated.
preferably in the uk
A: The cheapest place I found when doing the fronts on mine last year was;
http://www.eurocarparts.com/
They were a third of the price and the quality of them was surprisingly good. Subaru quoted me £171+VAT each, I got both from them for £126 including VAT.
Hope this helps
Q: Where to buy used subaru impreza?
I am looking to buy second hand subaru impreza, couldnt find a good deal yet. Any places where I can really get it at best rate?
A: You will find that Subarus do not depreciate as much as some other car makes. Look on kbb.com to find what they are worth.
The other problem is that used Subarus do not stay for sale for very long. People tend to grab those as soon as they become available. Go to any Subaru dealership and you will not find many used models available for sale. Try autotrader or ebay.
Q: how much did you pay for the subaru impreza 2008?
just wondering for anyone who’s bought a subaru impreza 2008 (sports hatchback), what you paid for it, which dealer and rep you had….i’m looking to purchase one but definitely dont want to pay for sticker MSRP price……thanks!
sorry, i need it in canada,….so canadian pricing & dealerships in vancouver, bc!
A: Before you go out buying one make sure the dealer is up to date on their recalls cause later year turbo 08-09 foresters and imprezas have been recalled and on hold cause of engine knock
Q: Subaru Impreza 1.6 has started to missfire. car idles fine but when you accelerate engine misses and bac fires
I bought 2003 subaru impreza 1.6 nearly 2 months ago it ran perfect until last week when car started to miss and car backfires when driving, then the engine management light started to blink, care is idling ok but when you accelerate the problem starts. It also does not have standard air filter has an Induction kit instead.
A: First, get the code read to find out what the ECU is telling you. Therein lies the first key into finding what’s wrong.
Some possibilites are the 02 sensors are bad and making the car fuel completely wrong when the car is under load. Another possibility is that the Mass airflow sensor (MAF or MAS) is messed up from the induction kit. If the MAF is bad, then the car will once again run bad because the car is fueling for the incorrect amount of air.
Q: Should i risk buying this Subaru Impreza ?
I recently found a 2003 Subaru Impreza wrx Sti with 60,000 miles for 6000 dollars. The only problm is that it has a slavaged title. I dont know if i should even mess with it. I have test driven it and i think it runs excellent but im not much of an expert on mechanics. Any advice on what to look for?
A: Just check the Carfax report to see why it has a salvage title. If it was in a flood and is running good, then there should not be a problem. I would have it looked over completely if that is the case because if water got into the engine it is possible some damage was done.
If it was wrecked then that is another issue. Make sure you take it to an alignment shop to make sure it is in alignment or if anything is bent or warped beyond being fixed (at huge expense).
Other than that, it sounds like a great deal!
Q: I need a car, A$25-30k, leather seat/5d hatch. Do I buy new car ie Subaru Impreza or used ie an Alpha or BMW?
I need to buy a new car and I want to spend A$25-30 on it. I don’t know if I’m better off with an European luxury car that’s 2-3 years old or a brand new Japanese car for the same money. I would like to keep it for at least 5 years, for it to be reliable and fuss free and not spend too much money on maintainence during this time. I’m not fussy with the make but it does have to be a hatch and have leather seats because of the family dog and the work I do. I like the 2007 luxury edition Subaru Impreza and the 2004 Alpha 147 but I really don’t know! It’s for mostly city driving with the odd short country trip. Advice needed!! Thanks
A: Their all good cars. If you go brand new you get warranty and dont have to worry about maintenance. Even a use BWM wont give you problems but can be costly if you encounter problems. Check out the 07 Audi A3 2.0T. Its good on gas, has leather seats and is a 5door hatch. Go to Autotrader.com and when you search, you can simplify your search by trim. Good luck and happy car hunting.
Q: can the suspension on a subaru impreza sport fit on to the turbo model impreza?
i have a subaru impreza turbo and i was wanting to know if the front suspension struts off of the turbo will fit
A: yes,
Q: What car is faster? the B6 2005 Audi S4 or the 2007 Subaru Impreza WRX STI?
If the B6 2005 Audi S4 isnt faster, then what do you have to do to make it faster.(what kind of performance parts do you have to put on the Audi S4 to make it faster the the 2007 Subaru Impreza WRX STI?
A: That is such a loaded question. Define “faster”. They have a similar 0-60 time (5.XX) and no, you can not tell the difference between a 5.3 second 0-60 and a 5.1second 0-60 time. The Audi did an 8:29 around the Nurburgring and the STI did it in 8:24. Again, negligible difference. On the street, the Audi is going to feel like a heavy, powerful, german car. The STI will feel lighter and more cheaply built. Just an opinion, but if you’re looking to mod, get the STI, if you want a nice, fast car to be proud of (or you’re over 25) get the Audi. Just my $0.02.
Q: How well does the Subaru Impreza Wrx stand up to the harsh Canadian winters and adverse driving conditions?
I’m looking to buy a used automatic Subaru and would like to just make a well informed decision for my first vehicle.
A: On the Subaru forums, there are quite a few people who use their cars daily in pretty hard winters in Alaska. It really depends on just how cold you are talking but if you use the proper fluids and viscosity, there shouldn’t be any problems. They are such reliable cars that I don’t see them giving you any problems that other cars won’t. And an automatic WRX does have a more complex AWD system than the manuals and they are about the best on the market. I would go for it as long as the car has been maintained properly.
Q: 1994 Subaru Impreza HX4WD – How to turn out of the straight line when pulling handbrakes?
When I pull the handbrake in my 4WD impreza, it just slides in a straight line. I understand why. but is there any way to turn it around and pop the back out? Does this mean that if I take a corner too fast and I slide, I wont be able to control it from going straight?
A: You have a balanced car and trying to make it tail happy? That may be fun, but parking brake turns are not usually the fastest way around a corner unless trying to do a 180. 4WD may tend to push in tight corners, but too much steering will not help. A wide enough line, smooth steering inputs and the right amount of power, should pull you the direction the front wheels are pointed.
Generally if you want to make a car oversteer, you soften up the front suspension, or stiffen the rear suspension (sway bar or springs). Or a front strut tower brace may help.
Q: loudest exhaust i can get for under $300 for a 2006 subaru impreza?
What is the nicest but loudest exhaust i can get for under $300 for a 2006 subaru impreza 2.5I?(it is not wrx/sti but every full exhaust system i find doesnt fit my car.
A: Go to a muffler shop and have them constrict a header back 2.5″ pipe. That’s about as loud as you will get for cheap.
