Q: Does new Toyota land cruiser qualify us tax credit?
I want to buy Toyota land cruiser SUV for office use, travel from medical office to patient’s home.
A: See IRS Publication 463, especially the car expenses under http://www.irs.gov/publications/p463/ch04.html#en_US_publink100033930
You either take a standard mileage rate for actual business miles, or actual expenses minus the percentage of personal use (commuting is personal use). Under actual expenses also see “Depreciation and section 179 deductions”. That vehicle would meet the definition of a “car” for depreciation purposes (not a “nonpersonal use vehicle”).
Q: Is the all-new 2008 Toyota Land Cruiser the same car basically as the 2008 Lexus LX450?
Before the new design for ‘08; I would look at the two from the back and without the label; they look exactly the same. But now even more before after the design; they really look alike. Why is that?
A: 2008 Lexus LX470… 4.7L V-8
I stand corrected LX570
The Lexus has more creature comforts to include a softer suspension, else they are basically the same, tho the Lexus cost more. (+10K)
Q: how much is the road tax for a new toyota land cruiser?
A: Road tax is now dependant on CO2 ommissions. The land cruiser is in the ‘worst’ energy rating band and has (at least) 238g/km of CO2.
This would be in the £300 bracket
Q: New Toyota land cruiser any time soon?
The Land Cruiser, looks like something out of the mid 1980’s- compared to its European, American, and even Japanese rivals- are they not making a new one any time soon? As the current one has been out over 10 years now… and, little has changed, apart from the odd bit of cosmetic work, and interior treatment.
A: The tired old Land Cruiser going on about 10 years will get an update coming next year as mentioned before. It’ll use the new 5.7L V8 engine thats in the Tundra. Unfortunately, the platform doesn’t get many revisions. Just like the Camry’s platform which dates back to the 1992 inception…it’ll just receive some tweakings in the platform, but the styling will change a bit not much.
I was hoping for more, but Toyota never focuses much attention to redesigns for it.
Hope this helps…
Q: if u had a choice to choose the color of a new Toyota Land Cruiser wt color will it be, white or black?
A: I’ve always been a sucker for a white Toyota.
Q: were could i fn pictures for the NEW toyota wald 200 land cruiser sport line black bison?

A: i don’t think those pics r out yet, i guess u r going 2 have 2 wait.
Q: can i import a 2000 toyota land cruiser into nz with all the new emission rules etc?
A: yes
Q: I am to buy a brand new suv,which one should i a Toyota Land cruiser/Range Rover.My budget is around 80 grands?
A: TLC. RR will break down earlier, or dump it’s value in half, in less than 2 years.
Q: Should I rebuild or buy a new engine for my 91 land cruiser?
My 1991 toyota land cruiser (4.0l engine) is getting up there in miles.
it has about 216,000
It runs very good at the time being, but if the time were to come, would it be cheaper to rebuild it or buy another engine?
also, could i put a 4.5L from the 93-97ish land cruisers in it without any problems or modifications?
and how can i get more power out of this beast?
A: You could put a Chevy V-8 in it…. and be the laughing stock of the entire Toyota Community.
There’s a reason nobody puts them in. Because they suck. You don’t need a giant V-8. Anyone who tells you to put in a Chevy V-8 in there knows nothing about those motors.
The Straight 6’s are stout as hell, but woefully underpowered. Everyone complains about that.
If are simply worried about going the cheapest route. Getting a Rebuilt motor is easiest. They replace almost everything so it’s easier and usually cheaper than trying to do it yourself.
But if you want more power and don’t mind a little added expense. Swap in a Diesel.
Check out www.ih8mud.com they are the Landcruiser Guru’s and have no problem telling you when you are making a mistake lol.
Q: Are car dealers open (today) New Years Day?
I want to look at a new Toyota Land Cruiser, so I can replace my 2000 Range Rover 4.6 HSE. Are any car dealers even open today so I can at least look?
A: Sadly, yes.
Q: How will the 2008 Lexus LX570 and 2008 Toyota Land Cruiser compare with Mercedes GL and Land Rover Range Rover
The pricing for the 2008 Lexus LX570 is not out yet, but even the Toyota Land Cruiser starts at $63,885 (that’s about $7,000 more than the Mercedes GL!). Even though those are steep prices, the LX570 and Land Cruiser does however have enormous amounts of luxury features and new technologies like crawl control and blindspot cameras and an enormous 5.7 V8 with 380 horsepower while still retaining the Ultra Low Emissions Vehicle II rating, oh, and ten airbags, power third and second row seats… How will you think it will compare with the Mercedes GL/G, Land Rover Range Rover, or any other large luxury SUV’s.
Note: the Crawl control is like auto-pilot for off roading, scaling mountains, boulders, etc…
“The Truth” is so far from the truth. If the Land rover Range Rover was the best car built, why is the reliability ratings so low? Why does it have so many recalls and quality problems?
Have a Look:
http://consumerguideauto.howstuffworks.com/2003-to-2006-land-rover-range-rover-2.htm
The Land cruiser and LX570 have v8 5.7L with 380 horspower . The Land Rover that costs $77,000 only has 305 hp and 325 . The 400 hp one is the supercharged Range Rover that costs $93,000 BASE! The Land Cruiser and LX 570 actually has everything you mentioned and more. Instead of the 14 speakers you mentioned on the range rover, the Lexus has a 19-speaker Mark Levinson Reference Surround Sound Audio System coupled with a 2,000-song-capacity Hard Disk Drive (HDD). The LX comes standard with a voice-activated HDD Navigation System, as well as XM Satellite Radio and XMNavTraffic capability which provides real-time traffic information.
The LX 570 also makes safety a priority. It’s the first in its class to offer a Wide-view Front and Side Monitor, which uses a camera on the passenger side-mirror and front grille to help improve peripheral vision in front and allow greater visibility on the LX’s right side. Plus, it’s the first of its class to feature active front headrests and an available Pre-Collision System. It also has Crawl control, knee airbags, power first, second and third row seats. The spacious interior is the pinnacle of comfort with four-zone climate control, third-row seating and even an available cool box to keep your beverages chilled. A push-button Start/Stop makes fumbling with car keys a thing of the past. Everything I mentioned above is unique to the LX570 and Land Cruiser. Remember, the things I mentioned is in addition to the features on the range rover. So the toyota and lexus has everything the land rover has, but more and better.
The Lexus and toyota has everything. Combined wth technology, quality, safety, value, and reliability, the LX570 and Land Cruiser are better in everyway. Oh, they are also certified ultra low emissions vehicles. I don’t know how you would think that the range rover is better than this, maybe you should do some research before you lie, misdirect people and provide faulty answers. Sorry, it’s just hard to believe that a car like the range rover with so many reliability problems, which the cost shows that it is surely a rip-off, but since Land Rover is a Ford company, I guess I can understand the reliability problems.

I am not “bashing” any answers, I am just presenting facts and evidence for one side of a possible answer to the question. If you have any reliable conflicting evidence, I would like to see it. That is, if you can find any…
A: Why are you even asking? You obviously are biased toward the Toyota and Lexus anyway. You bash every answer you get in both of your questions.
EDIT: No you provide evidence to support your OPINION. This is a question that doesn’t have a correct answer it is all based on opinion and when someone else gives their opinion you provide yours in a way that bashes their answer. If you already had your mind made up that the Lexus and Toyota were the best why ask the question?
Q: The Toyota Land Cruiser has been around for too long. When is the carryover going to stop? Any new model?
A: Supposedly a newly redesigned 2009 model is set to debut in 2008. Toyota gets away with having such vehicles around for longer model years more than the industry average. If it were a domestic manufacturer, the whining from journalists would begin at the 4yr mark…
Q: New speakers for my 1995 Toyota Landcruiser?
I own a 1995 Toyota Land Cruiser, its an SUV. I have the original speakers that it came with, but it think one of them is blown out. I want to buy some new speakers and probably a new CD deck. I don’t know if I should buy replacement speakers, or have a box built in a box to hold speakers and a sub woofer. I don’t want anything fancy. I just want to have a nice sound system with some good bass. =)
A: I think you should go for aftermarket products and get pioneer speakers for ur doors and subwoofers. they are high quality and reliable products!
Q: 2001 Toyota Land Cruiser – right front tire feels wobbly when driving, what could it be?
I recently noticed a wobbly feel in what appears to be the right front tire on my Land Cruiser. It feels like the wheel wants to fall off when I am driving. It isn’t terribly bad to the point that I don’t feel safe driving it…but it is an uncomfortable feeling. The tire doesn’t appear to move a bit when the LC is parked and I try to wiggle it. I haven’t done anything new recently like brakes, tires, rims, or anything like that. I did notice it looks like one of the weights fell off inside of the rim…but it doesn’t feel like an out of balanced tire. It has about 75,000 miles and no other problems really. What could it be? Should I be worried about driving it?
Forgot to note…all lug nuts are tight. Tires have approx 10k miles & appear in perfect condition. Tire pressure is also correct (I check often).
A: As silly as it may sound – take a lug wrench to the lug nuts and make sure they are tight. The weight of the car may be preventing the tire from moving around when parked.
Jack that corner of the car up and make sure the nuts are all tight.
If they are, then you got a suspension problem of some sort – perhaps a ball joint, perhaps something with the steerring linkage.
Losing a ball joint at highway speed is a dangerous thing, so I would recommend that if it isn’t something as simple as loose lug nuts, then you really should have a qualified Toyota mechanic inspect the front end.
Q: Which car is better? Toyota Land Cruiser Prado or Chevrolet Caprice Royale?
I am getting a new car
which one is better and why?
A: I HAD A2005 TURBO DIESEL PRADO AND LOVED IT. I HAVE JUST RECENTLY GOT A 2008 TURBO DIESEL PRADO AND IT IS 30 PERCENT MORE FUEL ECONOMY THAN MY 2005 MODEL.IT HAS A180LTR TANK SO IS GREAT ON LONG TRIPS.ITS GREAT TO DRIVE IN THE CITY AND ON THE HIGHWAY. I HAVENT HAD A PROBLEM. THEY HOLD THERE RESALE VALUE INCREDIBLY WELL THAT IS WHY I SOLD MY OTHER PRADO AND RE BOUGHT
