Q: I have a 1998 acura TL and the low beams just stopped working. How do I fix this?
It is a 1998 acura Tl and tonight the low beams both stopped working at the same time. Is this a fuse issue? All of the other headlights still work fine (fog lights, running lights, high beams). I drove to a restaurant and they worked fine, then when I went to go drive home the low beams wouldn’t turn on.

A: there is a dedicated fuse just for low beam headlights. 99% of the time it is under the hood.

I have an upper control arm and cv boot that need repaired or replaced on 2002 acura tl. any ideas of cost?

A: The job can be done in app 1.5 hrs. It is not a hard job to do if you get a book you can do it yourself, use safety jack stands and block the wheels. Take your time and if your mechanically inclined it will be an easy job to do.

A: Used manuals are on ebay all the time and if you can’t find one there then your dealer can get you one.

Q: How much is a used Acura TL worth?
i was just messing around lookin on like ebay and craigslist and stuff. I’ve seen them for like below $3000.00 and I’m kinda in shock. I mean these cars look to nice to be that cheap lol. On google i’ve seen prices upwards of 10k so idk what to think. Like a 2004ish Acura TL with around 100,000 miles.

A: An ‘04 TL with 100k miles on it would sell for around $10k to $12k from a private party.

Don’t trust Craig’s List ads for sub $3,000 cars. Most of them are pure scams. When you contact the seller they will tell you that the car has been left with a shipping company and will be shipped to you for your approval upon payment to some “protected” buying service such as eBay. eBay offers no such service and once you send your money to the “agent” via Western Union (or wire transfer to a bank in Spain), you’ll ever see it (or a car) even again.

NEVER buy a vehicle that you can’t inspect and drive in advance. If you can’t afford to travel to the vehicle to inspect it (or the seller says that it’s impossible to do so) then treat it as a scam and find something local.

A: Chances are the problem is a faulty seat belt switch. The dealer will charge you a diagnosis fee and tell you a seat belt buckle will need to be replaced. ( probably not under warrenty) , but its the only fix.

A: Like many others my husband is an excellent driver in the snow-It is not the car it is how a driver can handle driving in the snow. Having good thread on the tires helps a lot also.

A: I would think so, too. Extra tips: dig up an interior view of both model, if they have similar look and control, then it should work for both models

Yea, I need to replace the air filter and cabin air filter on my 2008 Acura TL 3.2 V6 liter engine. Now I know Acura parts are better but can I install a different brand air filter and cabin air filter, or will not perform the same?

A: well if it were electrical parts of any kind or eingine/tranmision parts then i would say stick to factory. however air filters are air filter. a little secret you may not know is alot of those air filters are acually made by the same companies that make the ones you would find at auto zone or napa. now if you can afford it k&n has the best oem replacment filters out thare. but chances are since you are askin gabout non factory parts ure probly on a quest to save some money. but the answer is it dosent relly matter on air filters or cabin filters. only a very few car manufacturers even make their own filters. usualy they get purailator or wkm or 3m or wkm. filters and just put their name on it and charge you more for it. not always. toyota makes all their own parts. but honda/acura dose not. even oil filters arent always made by the oem. example mopar filters (chrylser/dodge) are made by purilator. you go to advanced auto any but the 4 dollar purilator filter and then go to the dealer and buy the 15 dollar mopar filter. go home and cut em open. the insides are identicle. cheap maintnace parts like filters. are acceptable to cheap out on because the chances are your getting the same product anyways. maybe a diffrent color. but thats it.

Q: My 2005 Acura TL takes 3 seconds to shift into drive, why?
I just bought a 2005 Acura TL with 80k miles on it. Its an automatic. When I shift into Drive or Reverse, it takes a good 2-3 seconds for the transmission to actually shift into the selected gear. Is this normal for Acura TLs or is something wrong with mine?

I have a 2003 acura tl type s, it has 260hp stock. I want to add some hp to it but dont know where to start.

A: Turbo Kit, which includes everything you need for a turbo including the turbo. Intercooler, Piping, Intake, ECU Upgrade, and more.

Turbo Kits add at least 100HP at 6psi boost. Do not set the boost over 6psi unless you do engine internal upgrades that could handle more boost.

A: OEM. On that car an aftermarket spoiler would do several things…A:make it look crappy. B: Empty your wallet. C: Make it harder to sell.

I have seen aftermarket spoilers that look good on cars but not that style of TL.
