Q: Which trim level/grade of Honda CR-V should I buy?
I’m thinking of buying a Honda CR-V but I’m confused on all the trim levels offered. Should I get the LX, EX, EX-L or the EX-L with Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation Systemâ„¢?
Please advice.
And what colour will look nice?
A: l Iike the EX-L in Black.
Q: I want to buy a Honda CR-V and want to switch my 18″ rims to it. Will they fit? What tires do I need?
I have 18″ chrome rims and want to move them to a new Honda Cr-V (2008). Can I do this and do I need certain tires?
A: they will fit me and a buddy put some 18’s on his just put some 205 30 18’s on it and it will ride
Q: My dad is looking to buy a Honda CR-V?
Is a Honda CR-V good or should he buy a different car. We had a mini van that was not working good at all.
A: CR-V’s are EXTREMELy reliable cars…well built, good quality materials and solid drivetrains
the new CR-V handles much like a car, so it’s really a SUV body and a sedan suspension, so don’t expect much in the way of off-roading
stil, Honda’s Real-Time AWD system is excellent as well, and can handle moderate off-roading
there lots of room within the cabin, and the console is well placed out and easy to use…the exterior looks modern, though the front design is pretty bad and looks messy
the engine is the weak part of the car: it need more power, and fully loaded could struggle a bit..if you do fill the car up often, the CR-V may not be such a smart option, so a Rav4 V6 or Outlander V6 may be smarter options
Both the Outlander & Rav4 are well built and offer lots of room, as well as ‘3rd row seats’
[but they are really for 12-year-olds and under]
Either way, make sure your dad has a proper test drive of these cars, making theres enought room, enought power avalible and that he can use the car easily on a day-to-day basis [ie park it easily, use the console]
good luck
Q: Which Car should I buy Toyota RAV or Honda CR-V?
RAV 4 Cyl 2WD or Honda CR-V 4 Cyl 2WD.
Which car has more mileage, perharps the owners would know better. I have not experienced either one, your assistance would help in deciding which one to buy. Thanks A Lot.
A: I think the gas mileage would be about the same (somewhere between 21-25). The new Rav4 just has a 3rd row while the CRV doesnt and there is more room for luggage and cargo.
Q: what car should I buy Honda CR-V or Subaru Forester?
A: subaru’s are all quality.
Q: i am planning to buy a honda cr-v 2000? help!?
Hi- I am buying my own car before summer ends and i found a honda cr-v 2000 ex with 50,000 miles on it for sale by dealer. I have a honda-civic 2000 and i am planning to trade it in. This is my first time buying a car does anyone have any suggestion, opinions and advice. How much would an estimate monthly payment be on a 10,000 dollar car- my civic will probably be downpayment of 5,500. My credit- I have a college loan that I am paying off slowly so I don’t know what that looks like. He said it will 8% interest rate if i have good credit. Also anyone know of any good insurance companies for cars in northeast region. I am a bit scared because I make 2000 a month- my rent is 675+60 cell ph+ 100 food+estimating at least 200 or more for gas for the cr-v+ car payment. anyone ever done it.
A: Good choices on the Honda but on 2000k a month why not get on older model and no have payments. 8% is BS I’ll bet you get closer to 10% I’d trade that civic for 5k for something around 6-8k and wait until you school loan is paid off. Good feeling to drive a car with no payment.
I second the progressive ins suggestion they are decent….but stay far away from american with poor quality control….They pay little $$$ to have them assem in other countries and then rape you with price tag and repairs.
Q: Which used car to buy: 99 Honda CR-V or 05 Toyota Corolla?
The 99 Honda CR-V EX 102k miles, asking: $7995 – has a very good carfax
The 05 Toyota Corolla LX 90k miles, asking: $9995 – has a good carfax up to 65k – then no reports of maintenance
Have seen both and driven the CR-V – both engines look and sound good – although I’m no mechanic and don’t know much about cars.
thanks
A: 98-99 CRV should sell for more like $6,000
05 Corolla for $10 to $12,000
just on these figures the Corolla seems like a better deal.
Q: please I want to buy a Honda CR-V (used), any common problems with this car, is it a good idea?
A: I work at a Honda repair shop. The only complaints about the crv is the gas mileage about 23-28 depending on the person and their driving habits. The best thing about them is they are nearly indestructible. We have 3 of them that are rural mail carrier cars up and down dirt roads in Arkansas. No real problems as long as you keep it serviced and keep the timing belt replaced when due.
Q: Should I buy a 1998 HONDA CR-V with 130,000 miles, salvage title FOR $3,800?
I have decided to buy a small suv. Honda CR-V or Toyota RAV4 is my choice due to its Reliability and good gas mileage. I found ads from craiglists last week.

I know that if it is not a good idea to buy a car with salvage title but the price is right? Should I buy it?
I also found another ads: Toyota RAV4 with 153,000 for $4,000. Is this a good deal? Should I be concerned about the high miles?

Thank you in advance for your answer. ^0^
A: LOWER miles, maggie! you are looking at cars with high mileage. you’ll pay for it later.
Q: Should i buy a 2005 Honda CR-V executive with 100,000 on the clock or a newish low mileage poorer quality?
brand car
brand car. The CR-V is about 8500
A: As a former car salesman, i have learned some very useful hints as to what to look for in a used car because the boss would go insane if you part ex a duff car for too much money. Young high milage cars were a personal fave of mine coz you pay less for a usually better car. Intergalactic High mileage can only be achieved on a motorway. take a look at rev counter on any car in top gear at 70mph! Guaranteed to be lower than 30mph trundling about town. therefore the engine is not working as hard and less damage is being done. Also Honda have excellent build quality standards and are virtually indistructable. If stil unsure take a mechanic with you and always do a test drive.
Q: What is an SUV similar to the Honda CR-V?
I’m looking to buy a Honda CR-V…I just really like that particular model, but I am trying to research different models and find something similar to the CR-V as well. What other makes and models would be something close?
A: Try Kia Sportage, Hyundai Tucson, Kia Soul, ford Escape, Toyota Rav4, Nissan X-Trail, Suzuki Grand Vitara. Hope this help!
Q: 1999 honda cr-v? good car? do you own one? should i buy?
i’m thinking about buying a 1999 honda cr-v with 120,000 miles on it and it going to buy it from a family member. i plan on buying it for around 3,000 it needs new tires but other then that seems to be good. Is this a good investment? i’ve been saving up for year now and i’m going to be 16 in may. i’m leaning towards buying it,do you have a this car and is there anything wrong with it? any problems overall good car? how many miles do they last for? lots of info would be helpful thanks a million!
A: Yeah, that car probably will have problems in the future and you’re going to be spending more money fixing it than what you paid for it. If you have the money, go for something a little newer. Check out http://www.carsala.com. They’ll find the used car you want at dealerships in your area and negotiate the price down for you, so they save you a lot of money and take care of all the hard work and stress of buying a new used car.
Q: What are the diffrences between a 2006 Honda CR-V and a 2007.?
I am mostly concerend with features like Vehicle Stability Assist and the amount and placement of airbags. I would like to buy a used Honda CR-V but these features are the reason I am even buying a Honda CR-V.
A: the Honda website has all of the information on the 2007 CR-V including the air bags and vehicle stability asssit, active head restraints etc. here’s the link to the Honda site:
http://automobiles.honda.com/models/model_overview.asp?ModelName=CR%2DV
The previous generation CR-V was a little bit shorter, did not have the side curtain air bags that the new one does and did not have vehicle stability assist. if these are the features that are important to you, then the 2007 model is the only choice.
As a positive recommendation, the CR-V is the most reliable and dependable Honda model ever made and that says a lot about that vehicle.
Hope that answers your questions
Q: Anyone buy a 2008 Honda CR-V EX-L recently and want to share the price?
A: They start at $26700
http://automobiles.honda.com/cr-v/price.aspx?Model=RE4878JNW
Q: Which car you would buy? Subaru Forester or Honda CR-V?
I have shortlisted my choice to Subaru Forester AWD and Honda CR-V AWD, both 2008s.
All things being similar with some difference in pricing, which one would you recommend for US Northwest region – Washington State?
Consider:
1. Brand recongition – which one will have better resale appeal/value?
2. Reliability
Thanks
A: Forester hands down. First off, the subaru has the best AWD i’ve messed around with. It retains value a little better than the honda, and Subaru is well known for its AWD. As for reliability they’ll both go forever with regular maintnance, just keep em clean underneath to avoid rust. (hondas rust rather fast if I remember correctly!)
